West Ham United

West Ham have had a turbulent start to the season so far, including seeing a new manager take charge of the squad in Nuno Espirito Santo, who was quickly scooped up after being sacked by Nottingham Forest – coincidentally, following a 3-0 loss to West Ham.

This remains their only win of the season so far after 8 games, with their only other point coming from a 1-1 draw against Everton.

West Ham fans have seen some rare glimpses of form from star man Jarrod Bowen, and the club will need him to carry on scoring if they want to remain in the Premier League next year.

Liverpool

For Liverpool, this season so far has been a tale of two halves. They began by winning all of their opening games, but a reliance on injury-time winners left some fans anxious about their side not being able to put games to bed.

This fear showed it was not unfounded, as they then went on a losing streak both in the league and in the Champions League.

For the defending Premier League champions and a side that spent around £450m in the summer, these results are concerning.

Liverpool need their new signings to justify their price tags, and their star players like Mo Salah and Virgil Van Dijk to return to form if they have any hope of defending their title again this season against rivals Man City and Arsenal.
