TheKazakhstan national football team(Kazakh:Қазақстан Ұлттық футбол құрамасы,Qazaqstan Ūlttyq Futbol qūramasy) representsKazakhstanin men's internationalfootballand it is governed by theKazakhstan Football Federation. They split from theSoviet Union national football teamafter independence in 1991 and joined theAsian Football Confederation'sCentral Asian Football Federation. After failing to qualify for the1998and2002 FIFA World Cups, they joinedUEFA, but are yet to qualify for aFIFA World Cupor aUEFA European Championship.
