Portugal later defeated North Macedonia in the World Cup Qualifiers Final 2-0 with Bruno Fernandes scoring both goals in the first and second half respectively. Portugal do have the Nations League to focus on prior to the World Cup tournament starting. Should Portugal successful win this, this is sure to put them in good stead moving forward to the Qatar World cup tournament.
Time will tell how long Cristiano Ronaldo will remain an active international player, so it’s worth pointing out that he will be as hungry as he ever has to lift such a prestigious trophy before he decides to hang up his boots.
