Granada is a Spanish football club that can be found in the autonomous community of Andalusia. As many of the locals will know, Granada was the third Andalusian football team after Betis and Sevilla to compete in La Liga, in 1941–42.
In the history of the Spanish first division Granada is ranked as the 24th most successful team. They have participated in 20 seasons and achieved 6th place twice. Granada has also come runner up in the Copa Del Rey back in 1959. The men who play at the Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes are yet to win the La Liga however, and staying in the division is currently more of a priority.
