Turkey Euro 2016 Tickets

Turkey are the team to watch if you want to see full blooded commitment and passion from the players. They have a few stars in their ranks as well and although they somewhat limped through qualifying they may just well be the surprise package at Euro 2016. The Turks qualified as the highest ranked team in third place to qualify at the expense of Netherlands who finished in fourth spot. During qualifying, Turkey developed a habit of both scoring and conceding late goals.

They had a tricky group which included Czech Republic, Iceland, Netherlands, Kazakhstan and Latvia so they will be pleased to have booked their place in what was a competitive group.

Turkey face an even bigger challenge to get out of their group at Euro 2016 this summer but they will be looking to be the tournament's shock factor. In France they have been placed in Group D with Spain, Czech Republic and Croatia. They have Arda Turan playing for them after a season not playing due to a tranfer ban, he will be keen to make up for lost time and leave his mark on the international stage. The goals of Burak Yilmaz will be crucial after he netted four goals in qualifying.

Fatih Terim is a familar face in Turkey having managed Galatasaray three times, however more impressively he is in his third stint as Turkey coach. Terim guided Turkey to Euro 1996 and the semi-finals at Euro 2008. Terim is nicknamed 'The Emperor' and he will be looking to take Turkey one step futher than 2008 and guide them to their best ever European Championships

After missing out in 2012, Turkey have qualified for Euro 2016 after successfully negotiating a tough qualifying group to scrape automatic qualification in thrilling fashion. Ultimately finishing behind Iceland and the Czech Republic in Group A, Turkey came out as the best third placed team among all nine groups, granting them qualification for the finals and ensuring that Turkey Euro 2016 tickets will be on sale.

Going into their final group game against Iceland, passage was far from certain. A man down and with the game looking to end in a draw, some inspiration was needed. Step forward Galatasary midfielder Selcuk Inan, who produced an 89th minute moment of brilliance that will live long in the minds of Turkish fans.

A wonder free kick, reminiscent of Beckham's unstoppable right-foot strike against Greece, earned Turkey a 1-0 win and automatic qualification to Euro 2016. With Turkey tickets on sale now, don't wait the same way they did to clinch your place in France this summer.

Turkey began their qualification campaign in disappointing fashion with a 3-0 defeat away to Iceland. Their poor form continued with a 2-1 defeat to the Czech Republic. Turkey then picked up their first point of the campaign with a 1-1 draw to Latvia, before taking all three points against Kazakhstan.

Fatih Terim's Turkey then began to show signs of their quality and they were moments away from beating the Netherlands only for a stoppage time equaliser from Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, who cancelled out Burak Yilmaz' strike.

Turkey then picked up a narrow 1-0 victory over Kazakhstan after a late Arda Turan effort. However, late goals was also becoming Turkey's downfall as they dropped two points to draw with Latvia when they conceded in injury time.

Turkey then got their qualification hopes back on track and finihsed the qualifying campaign with three straight wins and three clean sheets. The most impressive being their 3-0 victory over Netherlands with goals coming from Oguzhan Ozyakup, Arda Turan and Burak Yilmaz. They then followed it up with a 2-0 victory away to Czech Republic, before sealing qualification with a 1-0 victory over Iceland when Selcuk Inan scored a dramatic winner in the 89th minute to send Turkey to France at the expense of Netherlands in one of the biggest shocks in Euro 2016 qualification.

Key Player

Turkish captain Arda Turan was sensational for a couple of seasons at Atletico Madrid which then earnt him a move to Spanish giants, Barcelona. A tricky and talented winger he is Turkey's stand out player. The experienced playmaker is very dangerous when given the chance to run at his opponents and if given time on the ball he can split defences in one pass. If Turkey are to succeed at Euro 2016, Arda Turan will have to play a leading role.

The Goals

Burak Yilmaz is well-known in Turkey having played for the 'big four' Galatasaray, Besiktas, Fernerbahce and Trabzonspor. He currently plays in China for Beijing Guoan and has an impressive goalscoring record at club and international level. He's pacy and direct which causes problems for the very best centre backs. Yilmaz' four goals in qualifying saw him top the Tukey goalscoring charts in qualifying and Turkey fans will be desperate to get there hands on Turkey Euro 2016 tickets.

One to watch out for

Selcuk Inan is the man to watch out for at Euro 2016 for Turkey. He's experienced, with a good engine in the middle of the park.

If Inan can link up to good effect with close friend and former Galatasaray team mate, Yilmaz, Turkey will be well on their way to making it at past the groups and could well be a thorn in the side of top teams. Inan has over 50 caps for his country and he will be looking to control the midfield by breaking up attacks and winning back possession.

Young Starlet

Hakan Çalhanoğlu plays his club football in Germany for Bayer Leverkusen and he is making a name for himself in the Bundesliga. Calhanoglu has also been impressing for the Turkish national side and at the age of 22, he certainly has a bright future. Calhanoglu is a dead-ball specialist and he can cause problems for many sides this summer from free-kicks and corners. He has recently been compared to Arsenal and Germany midfielder, Mesut Ozil and is fast becoming one of European football's brightest emerging talents. The midfielder will be hoping to guide Turkey to glory and you can see how Calhanoglu and his team mates get on by purchasing Turkey tickets from Football Ticket Pad today.

Turkey Euro 2016 Fixtures

Turkey v Croatia

The first game for Turkey at Euro 2016 represents a very tough test. Turkey v Croatia Euro 2016 tickets are for sale now at Football Ticket Pad.

The group D opener between Turkey and Croatia in Paris is a tough one to call. Both sides have some talented playmakers and boast rising talents who are capable of making a name for themselves at Euro 2016 this summer.

On the Turkish side, there's former Arsenal trainee Oguzhan Ozyakup, otherwise known as Ozzy. Currently impressing at Besiktas, his energy and attacking impetus lend a dynamic edge. Croatia's own rising star, 19 year old Alen Halilović, is another one to watch. A Barcelona player on loan at Sporting Gijon, he has pace to burn and a vicious shot.

With some talented and established players, Croatia will expect to make the last 16 and hope to go further. They will need to overcome a potential hiccup against Turkey. Croatia's manager has only been at the helm for 2 months and so he will have to quickly learn everything about his squad in these few months before the tournament to ensure Croatia do their very best come June. Football Ticket Pad have all the

Spain v Turkey

Turkey had to watch Euro 2012 from afar after they failed to qualify but their last outing in 2008 saw them make the semi finals in dramatic fashion. Can they ignite the same spark as before? Head coach Fatih Terim was there then and is back at the helm for a third time. His experience in these big games could well be a telling factor in what will be a pivotal game during their group campaign.

Turkey are very fortunate to be in the tournament at all. They relied on securing a win on the final day of qualifying and needed for Kazakhstan to beat Latvia. They achieved all this in dramatic fashion winning with the final kick of the game. Spain are a different kettle of fish. They are odds on favourites but if you book Spain v Turkey tickets your presence in the crowd may be enough to conjure an almighty upset.

Arda Turan will be looking to get one over some of his Barcelona colleagues, where Spain's Paco Alcacer will be hoping to continue his impressive goal scoring form in his first European Championships

Czech Republic v Turkey

Czech Republic and Turkey meet again, having become familiar as both sides were drawn in Euro qualifying group A. The Czech's may have topped the group, but Turkey won 2-0 when they met in Prague, so will feel confident of their chances.

As the final match of the group phase, both sides will be aware of what is needed to guarantee qualification to the next stage. Expect a feisty encounter with plenty of passion.

Turkey will be hoping to not leave it late in this fixture, as they did in their final qualifying match. Having just squeezed their way into the draw for Euro 2016 the likes of Yilmaz and Turan will be looking to secure Turkey's qualification to the knockouts much better time. Turan should be fresh having missed half the season due to Barcelona's transfer ban. This can bode well for Turkey with Turan their key man! You can book seats at a key tie in the group with Czech Republic v Turkey tickets from Football Ticket Pad.
